3 x 8X10" F.A. PRINTS

As a mum of two, I know how it feels to have just given birth, to feel absolutely overwhelmed with the new situation and the feeling of vulnerability that goes with that. When I come to capture your baby's first moments I'm very respectful of the needs of your baby, your family, and of course the hospital staff. Each family, each baby, and each situation is individual. Photography is my craft, the resulting images are reflections of your life in pieces of Art.

Minimum Intrusion...

I'm an empathetic photographer, offering the best quality at fair prices. When I look back at photos I remember a time, a day, a moment. The last thing you want to remember is how the photographer prodded your new baby for 10 mins to get the ‘perfect pose’. At BellaFresh48 my definition of the perfect pose is however I find you. Baby sleeping in the cot, feeding in mum’s arms, snoozing on dad’s shoulder… the list is endless.

My sessions are always super short, just 20 mins long, & super relaxed. I just come in, meet the family and capture the details and your natural interactions with each other. Resulting is a set of photos that evoke happy memories and depict the beginning of your new family life together.

When shall I book My Fresh 48 Session?

Book as soon as you know you want a session. Once you're registered, you'll receive a confirmation email, and when baby arrives, just drop me a text and we'll arrange the best time for me to come and do your session.

When & where will the photoshoot take place?

The sessions are usually between 11am & 2pm the day after your birth Monday to Friday, but I can often be flexible. I would recommend that you have your session as soon after birth as you feel ready.

How long is the session?

The sessions are short, just 20 mins and very relaxed. My aim is to capture those beautiful first moments, but not intrude on your precious time.

Who will be in photos?

Baby is the focus of the photoshoot, but I love to capture all available immediate family members too.

Do we need to bring anything special?

I don’t pose baby or use props, you don’t need to pack anything special, just a nappy or a bodysuit is perfect. Fresh 48 photography is documentary in style, allowing you to remember baby exactly how they were in the first hours of their life. This time can be so hazy for both mum and dad, it’s invaluable to be able to look back and treasure these first few days with really beautiful documentary photography.

When can I view the images?

I pride myself on a fast turnaround. Your gallery will be online 1-5 business days after your session.

When will I receive my order?

Digital images are available for download immediately after purchace. You will be sent an email with a link to download your images onto your laptop or computer.

Fine Art Prints are printed at our expert lab in NSW, on beautiful paper using archival inks to last over 100 years. These take 10-15 working days to get to you.

Our beautiful layflat Photobooks are printed on Matt photographic paper, boasting outstanding image quality and vibrant colours, with a smooth matt finish.  Photobooks take 3-4 weeks for delivery.

What is documentary photography?

Documentary is visual storytelling. The session is very relaxed and super friendly, which will help you feel comfortable, and works really well with young big-siblings! Resulting in images that reflect actual moments in time & memories.

What if my baby needs to be in the NICU?

Babies who are in NICU are approached on a case-by-case basis. I will work with hospital staff to find out what we are able to do.

Will my photos & identity be private?

Yes. I'll always ask your permission to use your photos in my marketing material / social media, and those of The Epworth. I'll never use you baby's name and only use your first name in testimonials.

Are you vaccinated?

Yes. I am up to date with my Whooping Cough and Influenza Vaccines.
